Monday, September 10. 2007Peddlers Bicycle Shop Bike Swap and Show Oct 7th
Sunday Oct. 7th at Peddlers Bicycle Shop 139 East Lexington, Independence Missouri. It will start around 6 am and carry on into the afternoon.
Categories of the bike show... Orignal Ballooner Restored Ballooner Orignal Middleweight Restored Middleweight Orignal Stingray or Muscle Bike Restored Stingray or Muscle Bik Lowrider Custom Cruiser or Chopper, or Rat Rod BMX Pre 1987 Original Restored Freestyle And last Peoples Choice or Best of Show Everyone will vote for each category. There is a $5.00 enty fee for each bike entered.There will be first place throphys,second and third place ribbons. Sunday, September 9. 2007Get Well Soon Ric
Not for sure how it happened but Ric fell at the fountains last Thursday and apparently broke his wrist while trying to break his fall. Might have been the wind blew him over as bad as it was.
Just want to wish Ric a speedy recovery and hope to see him back in the saddle soon.

We had a nice turnout and good participation at our first "Cardboard Box Night" at the Thursday Night Pub Pedal. It was a blast! And speaking of blasts... despite the gale force winds everyone's creation seemed to hold up well even after being knocked over several times. We did our usual ride arriving at the fountains. Once there we picked a few innocent onlookers to be our judges for the competition. The judges chose Dan's beer truck bike as the winner and Dan received a gift card to Old Chicago. While at the fountains we all took turns riding the wild pony. We also had this going on in the background. Thanks to Dan for the idea and thanks to everyone who showed up. Photos here. Video... Sunday, September 30th is the 3rd annual Midwest Bicycle Fest.
Some of this years events will include... Peoples Choice Competition Bicycle Limbo Door and Contest Prizes Skid Contest Raffle to win a "rat rod" bike being built on site by "Diabolical Dan" Food and Beverages T-shirts Parade Ride and more Bring a bike or bring 10 bikes. Tell your friends and family. We are still looking for volunteers to provide grills and cook. We are also still accepting donations for prizes.
