Friday, March 25. 2011Coasters Canal Cruise Coasters Spring Canal Cruise - Sunday, April 3rd - 11:00am. This is a casual, leisurely, family ride along Wichita's Canal bike path. The ride will be approximately 7 miles with an optional 5 miles at the end. Meet at the Donut Whole 1720 E Douglas. We'll ride at 11:00am sharp! We will ride to the paths most southern end where there are spectacular views of the canal. We will then return back to our starting point where you can stop or continue on to the paths Northern end and back. Come early and have a delicious Donut Whole donut before the ride. Stay late and have lunch and/or a beverage downtown after the ride. Please Note: If you'll be hauling your bike to the starting point, do not park in the Donut Whole parking lot. Park at a nearby side street or empty parking lot. Thanks. Tuesday, March 22. 2011Kickstand Magazine Kickstand Magazine is "the owners manual for a freewheeling life". This bi-monthly magazine's content deals with kustom, classic and new cruisers, cruising and bicycle culture. The upcoming issue (number 8 ) will feature the Coasters Bicycle Club. Drop in Heartland Cycles (Old Town), then begin a 14-mile loop south to Tom Sawyer Bicycles. Continue to Historic Delano District via the central bike path. Visit the Bicycle X-Change, then head to Continental Bikes on West Street. The last leg will take us through parks and back to Heroes (approx 14 miles). Visit the Wichita Bike Walk Alliance website.
