News and Info on the Kustom/Classic Bicycle Scene and Casual Cycling in the Wichita area
Pictured is just one of the bikes we'll be raffling off at this years Midwest Bicycle Fest at $1 a chance. This aluminum La Jolla cruiser is a cool bike right out of the box or would be a great start for a kustom build.
Thanks to Rick and Robin (winners of last years new raffle bike) for donating this bike to the festival.

You couldn't have asked for better weather for a bike fest. Probably the most pleasant day yet of the 6 festivals. Great people, bikes, food, music and prizes, overall a great time. Congratulations to all the winners whether it was a bike, door prize or trophy you won. And those that didn't win I hope you at least went home with a warm fuzzy feeling and a smile.
Thank Yous...
Thanks everyone for coming out especially those who traveled from as far away as Missouri and Dodge City. Thanks for your donations and contest entry fees which go towards the cost of putting the festival on. Special thanks to those who risk life, limb and bike damage (whether theirs or someone else's) to participate in the contests. Super special thanks to those who helped to put this years event on... Grillmaster Mitch and his family, Cameron, my family, Erick Robert, Ralph & family and those that helped "on the fly" and donated prizes.

This evening I spotted 2 of the give-away bikes being ridden down the sidewalk. I knew they were the bikes because one w
as the boys and the other the girls and the girls still had streamers. Nice to know they are getting use.
I'm sure that's fine. They'll also need help loading bikes into trucks. I had forgot to post that they are also assembli
ng bikes on Sunday beginning at 1:00pm. I just updated the post.
